Making Plans

Monday, Monday!
We seem to work best on Mondays.  Karen came over again to work on our Fund for Teachers grant.  We're getting excited researching places to visit, transportation, hotels....

We decided our focus is going to be on people and experiences during the Holocaust.  There's no need to dwell in the negative aspects of researching about Nazis.  Our goal is learning about the unsung heroes - ordinary people doing extraordinary things during difficult times.

So far it looks like we'll be in Poland for 5 days, Berlin for 5 days, and the Netherlands for 4 days - 14 full days of learning!

First Thing First!

Today we started our application for Fund for Teachers.  We're both very excited!  Karen is our fearless leader - she won the draw.  Wish us luck as we research and write up our proposal.
